Judge Orders USPS To Follow Its Own Plan For Getting Ballots In On Time | Talking Points Memo

Ah. Now I see.

I love Judge Sullivan.

I don’t know what is meant by “Gop”, “Dem” and “Other” here, unless that implies party affiliation, in which case it doesn’t mean much. I know a lot of registered Republicans that are voting for Biden in my very conservative county. I also know a lot of voters who have no party affiliation that are voting for Biden. So relax for a minute, take a deep breath, and then move forward with GOTV efforts.

That is party registration, not the actual votes. Even if they are counting the votes already (I think Florida does permit counting before election day), no way in hell would they release the incremental totals.

Finally, a public servant with stones to match his title!

Indeed. Plus I think I read Cook Political Report guru Dave Wasserman essentially say that any polls from strictly party ID is just garbage and means nothing.

He also ordered the USPS to submit daily data on the total number of inbound and outbound ballots, as well as daily excel files showing performance figures.

Land sakes, you’d almost think His Honor didn’t fully trust the USPS brass to follow his orders in good faith.

Given the events of the Flynn trial, I don’t think he trusts any government employee anymore.

Thanks your Honor for keeping that foot up that USPS ass, next haul Dejoy into court to explain this.

“government employee”

And Trump is trying to screw them.

Not only that but about three weeks ago in the Sunday print edition of the NY Times, there was a full page ad which costs $250K signed by half a dozen USPS officials leading with Lovejoy promising the organization would do everything in their power to ensure timely delivery to local post offices and assuring everyone there was no need for concern.

I like this judge.

They included crucial areas of swing states in the presidential contest, such as Atlanta, Greater Michigan and Central Pennsylvania.

My postal worker came at 7:30 pm yesterday again. Again…so weird. Another late night for the fourth different postal worker in a row I’ve had this week alone. What a mess.

I hope they comply because I can tell you, something is not right, and its not just DeNoJoy. He’s ordered top supervisors (not really sure of the hierarchy, but I know its not the actual mail carriers, the true grunts) doing all the damage to the postal service. They destroyed those sorting machines right before an election and that sure didn’t help either. The ones they found destroyed out near a USPS distribution center in Grand Rapids was first described as one for letters and one that could accommodate absentee ballots. Within days the story changed to being one where those particular machines that were being dismantled were only being used for large scale mail, like those made to sort 8 x 10" photos and the like and they claimed they were no longer needed. It was a real concern at that time and now no one can really be sure. They are incapable of being put back together. That was back in August. Mail hasn’t been quite the same over the last two and half months either imo. Its been real hit and miss and its been anything but dependable since then. Those machines were found destroyed a day after DeJoy testified that he would not do any such thing.

Btw, Grand Rapids (the second largest city in MI) has been trending more blue in the last several elections and Biden is ahead in the area this time around as well.

and unless he worked for the post office while in college, he’s had someone letting him know the processes and places that need attention…

I am to fucking stupid to know who you go to but there is someone.
The MSM has these legal experts who know but seem not to care because they want a close race.
Reality MSM.

Judge Sullivan is, as you’ll no doubt recall, Trump’s favorite judge.

Yes, as an acknowledgement to Judge Sullivan for his fine work perhaps Michael Flynn can experience the justice he deserves.

Florida Bulldog is an investigative news site. In September, they wrote on how a private equity firm forgave an enormous debt of Donald Trump in exchange for federal permits to transport dangerous liquified natural gas in rail cars up the densely populated megalopolis of Miami-Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach counties.

Fortress energy has its filthy fingers in Puerto Rico as well.

A multi-billion dollar private equity firm whose subsidiary was awarded two special permits by the Trump Administration to haul hazardous liquified natural gas (LNG), including by rail along Florida’s east coast, apparently forgave more than $100 million in debt owed by President Trump.

New York State Attorney General Letitia James filed a petition last month in the New York Supreme Court seeking to compel the Trump Organization to produce documents pertaining to a $130-million loan to Trump from Fortress Credit, part of the $45.5 billion Fortress Investment Group. The AG seeks to determine if the president evaded paying capital gains taxes on a large portion of the 2005 loan that the Attorney General says it has learned was “forgiven.” Trump and his staff have not cooperated in obtaining the loan documentation, the petition said.
