Judge Orders Mental Evaluation Of ‘QAnon Shaman’ After Lawyer Insults ‘Short Bus’ Defendants | Talking Points Memo

“What’s a minor neuro-difference between friends.”

Really. I mean, I have neuro-differences between myselves every day.

So this a nascent insanity defense? The current assholery defense is clearly not working.

There’s no a lot of track left on which the shaman can gallop toward complete imbecility, since he and his horns had only a few strides left to reach the finish line way back on January 6.

He wants his meals organic, his beef grass-fed, and his mimosas with real champagne. I mean, it’s federal prison, not the end of civilization. Oh, and he would like a touch more privacy to communicate with the underworld.

He’s treating every prison meal like it’s his last request.

Short answer (I’m a layman): but this lawyer is probing the system for weaknesses. He wont succeed, but he is trying to see what he can get away with.

We can cut to the chase here.

Identifying as Republican should be considered is a disorder. It should be listed in the DSM. Anyone who is a Republican or leaning Republican is, necessarily, unwell. Symptoms are defined on a two-dimensional space of assholery and stupidity. To merit a diagnosis, the patient needs to score high for a combination of these phenotypes: all Republicans will pass the test – be diagnosed as sick – with plenty room to spare.

So, it is reasonable – though quite unnecessary – that the judge ordered a mental evaluation. We already know the mofo is one sick puppy.

We have in our country at least 74 million sickos. There is no point in pretending that this plague on our nation does not exist: it poses an existential threat.

Why not a mental health examination for the lawyer?

And sorry, Asperger’s is not an excuse for breaking the law.

Chansley, known as the “QAnon Shaman” has suffered mentally in federal detention

How could he tell?

They took away his face paint.

I don’t care about this lawyer, but the fact is Chansley is a pretty sad cookie. He’s got the worldview of a 14-year-old, a gullible fantasist. If he were released into some sort of structured situation where he got therapy I think that might be best for everyone.

It is past time to shut these people down. He doesn’t like jail? Who does? Whiny ass bitch should have thought about that before he put his wolfman suit on (or whatever the hell that get up was). If he truly has mental issues put him in a facility where he can get some help, but don’t release him.

The problem with that for the Q Shaman is that while he may avoid prison if he is found to be dangerous to himself or others, he could be committed to the “cuckoo’s nest” and have to live with 3 pills from Nurse Rachett everyday for the rest of his life.

Agree. I would put it another way, this whole sorry state we find ourselves in is today is that the “wobble-heads”, “D” and “F” students and the uneducable morons are trying to tell we elites what to do. (I include the GOP House members in this group - none of them could hold an honest desk job which is why they are grifting on Capitol Hill - it beats flipping burgers). It won’t work, but it may get a lot of these reprobates into “indefinite detention”.

Indefinite detention sounds like what these reprobates experienced in high school.

I for one would be totally fine with this.

I prefer the term “unrepentant reprobates.”

He needs therapy, yes, but he should not be released for it. The federal prison system can provide the structured situation suitable for his needs.

I think the guys problem is not intellectual handicap but dumbness and susceptibility to crap. Most studies show little substantive difference in organic vs food not using the label. It’s really a meaningless term that folks associate with higher prices like "all natural " ( what isn’t ), “holistic” ( which no one can define ) and “gluten free” ( which doesn’t mean shit unless you have celiac disease ) . I’m sure he thinks eating nothing but organic makes him special. Lots of stupid people do.
