Haha that said there wouldn’t seem to be much grounds. The court has a right to compel witnesses to testify. If you could just refuse they wouldn’t be able to function.
Can you appeal any damn thing? Don’t you have to have some plausible grounds?

Can’t imagine a scenario in which Eric doesn’t lie like a rug. Remaining to be seen–will he stick to provable lies under oath and so put himself in instant legal jeopardy?
Also, what are the privacy guidelines around this sort of deposition? Can the NY AG publicize details?

Usually, no. Interlocutory appeal is very limited and for discovery matters pretty much a no-go. But, you appeal it then appeal the refusal of the appeal etc. etc. etc. etc. The game is delay after all. All they have to do is make it to the stolen election and they’re home free to cut off federal funding to NY as blackmail to stop the investigation.

Eric’s innate stupidity will result in easily disproved lies and open him up to serious perjury charges.
If it’s a grand jury deposition (and I think it is) then it’s secret unless and until it’s used as evidence in the civil trial or in a trial for his expected perjury.
