she would be, except that tRump never pays for anything - she’s probably working for him in hopes of a future “supreme” reward
It makes sense that the highly complicated, intricate and multi-faceted case about some boxes of documents in a john would take a lot more time to try than a simple, cut-and-dried case like the plot among dozens of people across several weeks and multiple states to overthrow the results of a national presidential election.
Regardless of when the trial begins, there will be evidence presented to the jury by the prosecutor. That’s a powerful antidote to the machinations of a meddlesome judge.
I expect that Jack Smith is going to bring very graphic, explicit, incontrovertible facts into the record and the jury is going to weigh the facts against the pablum and theatrics emanating from the defense. At that point the judge will distinguish herself as either an officer of the court or a character witness for the defense.
Not a coincidence is that Trump never said a bad word about this judge.
Aileen “Loose” Cannon has learned from her mistakes when she tried to help the Orange POS in 2022 and was eviscerated by the 11th Circuit.
To avoid a direct ruling that will be legally stupid (and give grounds for getting her replaced) she is slow walking crawling the trial in hopes that T%%%p gets reelected and terminates the case. GLWTS.
…a US Capitol Police officer who was on the front lines of the violent assault and Rep. Eric Swalwell,…recounted the horrors of running from the pro-Trump mob, testified for the challengers.
Agree with your voice of sanity. The evidence will be incontrovertible as will the clear picture of guilt.
Whether that matters in this country any more is another question.
Jesus hated corrupt judges
But not in the division where she is assigned. trump got quite lucky that she gets assigned a smallish percentage of the cases filed in the West Palm Beach division under the standing case assignment order.
I’m not seeing in Cannon’s statement a level of understanding to simple English. The reason of using the correct preposition is to make clear the purpose for your utterances on the minds at your listeners.
… And look where that got him*
*Not that I believe for a second a single part of the Jesus Myth, every last bit of which was cribbed off of - if not stolen from - centuries of sacrificial dieties before ‘Him’
Personally, despite what he thinks, delays are not helping him out. He has spewing left and right, floundering and looking like the ass he is. More fodder for the masses to see their glorified deity is nothing but an drooling, orange punk. But more importantly, he is cementing his opposition to be even more determined to climb over the barriers and get that vote done. Republicans be damned, they are over.
This future SCOTUS judge ain’t gonna nominate herself!

I’m both enraged and unbothered. Enraged at how this judge is committing a miscarriage of justice around a crime that is was clearly committed. This trial should have already started. On the other hand, the J6 and Georgia trials are far more consequential and to the core crime. If this trial happens after those trials are concluded I’m fine with that.
I’m not convinced Judge Cannon has a level of understanding to these realities.
Cannon doesn’t want to be first.
It’s not any more deep than that.
She wants to save Trump here, but if he’s convicted on Jan 6th charges anyway, she showed herself a shill and still doesn’t save him.
If he skates on the Jan 6th charges then she knows it’s worth helping Trump. If he’s elected she can punt completely.
I have had a nightmare with the picture of the judge looking down at me.
She wants to delay her case because it may conflict with another case that is scheduled to be finished before her cases start date.
She seems over her head or doesn’t care about national security. Maybe both.
Recall some Cannon projection:
- Woodward protested that he couldn’t respond until prosecutors made clear exactly what they wanted the court to do, and Cannon flipped that back on prosecutors. “I do want to admonish the government for frankly wasting the court’s time,” she said, and kicked the can down the road to another hearing still to be scheduled.

Cannon of course isn’t wasting the court’s time. No sir. She’s all about chop-chop.
