Jordan Asserts He’s Within His Right To Undermine Bragg’s Prosecution of Trump In New Filing

Chemicals? That’s my most charitable explanation.

“The Speech of Debate Clause mandates that Senators and Representatives ‘shall not be questioned in any other Place’ for ‘any Speech or Debate in either House,’”

That didn’t end well for Mo Brooks.

I really resent the country brought to a standstill by 24/7 Congressional dedication to attacks on Trump’s enemies.

I am not an expert, but seems the recent ruling regarding Pence’s invoking the Speech or Debate Clause narrowly defined the clause as being intended for legislative purposes only. To that end, it seems Jordan needs to narrow his efforts to legislating, not adjudicating or interfering in legal matters before a court. He’s out of his lane!

It must be something in the water.

I dunno.
I suppose if he talked to Rep. Perry about it, we may just find out.

This situation leads me to reflect on the dichotomy of ‘bind’ and ‘protect’. Jordan demonstrates the behavior of one who views the law as protection for people like him; meanwhile, the law binds people who take action against either him or one of his confederates. In short, he has all the leverage while anyone else has none. I wonder what crackpot birthed this nonsensical legal reasoning.

Sorry Gym, the Speech and Debate Clause does not give you the right to meddle in States affairs.

Except it ain’t.

Well, OK, not entirely, but all we get from the House is pro-Trump shenanigans. Sick up and fed!

Jordan is, like MTG, a textbook example of petite bourgeoisie rage against the system that deprives them of status. The perennial chip on the shoulder is the tell. Charley the Tuna don’t get no respect and it chaps his hide. Meanwhile his attitude alone is enough to fundraise off. Like Greene he embodies the bases’ desire to punish because it has already given up on winning.

It is that fighting instinct that Mr. Jordan most values in Mr. Trump. Traveling through his deep-red district recently, he was asked by Republican supporters whether Mr. Trump was still electable or if it was time to move away from Mr. Trump and get behind a different presidential candidate for 2024. Each time, he said to stick by the former president.

“I’m 100 percent for President Trump,” Mr. Jordan told one local businessman at a gathering in his office in Mansfield, Ohio. “I just like the way he fights.”

This sez everything to me…my emphasis

Mr. Jordan attributes his competitiveness to his father — Mr. Jordan’s hero — who coached the Little League Baseball and wrestling teams and instilled in his son a love of conservative values. Mr. Jordan threw himself into the sport of wrestling with a single-minded focus, posting a high school record of 150-1. He still remembers his lone loss vividly, and he says it continues to eat at him.

Mr. Jordan is an excellent vessel for his fans.

If Trump was gone would Jordan still be a asshole?

I love how while he’s ‘asserting’ himself, he is telling lie after lie after lie that are easily disproved.
