Agree. Very informative but also a bit sad. I always thought that the Brits took Governing more seriously then their American Cousins. For a fool like Boris to be elevated to head of state is surreal.

But if a Churchill fan myself, despite his love of empire and country squire, Tory platitudes. Cometh the hour, cometh the man fits him like a glove.

One thing that has not received sufficient attention in this Brexit madness is how May’s (and Johnson’s) coupling with the reactionary Ulster Unionists violated the terms of the Good Friday agreement.

The agreements held that the British government would not favor either Unionists or Irish Nationalists on the island of Ireland. Critical promise in getting it approved. Here was May clinging to office for months solely by selling out to the handful of reactionary and bigoted unionists in the DUP.

Very fun article; britain has its own slow motion train wreck. But the article should have mentioned Boris Johnson is a bullingdon.

He’s no fool. He acts the clown to draw in the lower classes.
