Thursday’s hearing, initially billed as the prime-time season finale to the summer slate of Jan. 6 committee hearings, will focus on what then-President Donald Trump did and didn’t do as the insurrection unfurled.
I think this one is going to require a batch of punch.

I was soooo disappointed when this session got postponed last week. Now I’m so glad it’s this week and I have it to look forward to tonight.
Just saw a Rick Wilson tweet saying that he heard the chairwoman of the GOP has told TRump they will quit paying his legal bills if he announces. They obviously know what he actually cares about and have decided to throw in with DeSantis.
Trump frequently loses his mind and loses a lot of money chasing after a grudge or a false belief. PLease let this be one of those times.

I’m not sure Trump needs the GOP to pay his bills. He’s got “Save America JFC” and he’s using that money which is coming very specifically from donors who believe 1) the last election was stolen 2) Donald Trump IS going to run 3) Donald Trump WILL win 4) all heretics and blasphemers will tremble before him as he lays waste to his enemies.
We’ve got some way to go before we get to the part where Trump has to pay for his own legal bills.

Just a reminder that Steve Bannon’s trial goes to the jury tomorrow. Surprised TPM is not reporting on it.
The only issue is does the jury contain hardcore Trumpees or will Bannon be quickly convicted. My guess is the reason TPM has not been covering the trial is Bannon has no real defense.
Yeah, but you don’t think like a Trump. If anyone’s turning off the spigot (for any reason), they are clearly his worst enemy and mean him the greatest harm. So he has to hit them back. Doesn’t matter if the money itself is inconsequential.
