As a brought up Irish Catholic and a Yankee fan, I will give him the benefit of the doubt even though he worked for one of those “law firms”.

Looks like Jack Smith has a bulldog of an assistant. Kind of a take no prisoners guy when it comes to corrupt self important big shots with friends in high places.

When I was 6 years old, my Mom took me with her to the movie theater to see Lawrence of Arabia. From that point forward, when dealing with my troublesome people, it was always “No prisoners!”. I approve of that attitude!

My take on your take as well.

What’s the matter, you think they’re gonna use up all the electrons with humorous asides? I’m not afraid you will with your little snides. Give us a break: you want to make a serious comment, no one will stop you. You may find @irasdad and @ifeveroheverawiztherewas contributing to the conversation when you do. But attacking them for a bit of levity is at least as useless as any OT post can be.

Now what I’d like to know is, if he was involved in the Stone case and did not quit in a huff, what exactly did he do after and in light of Barr’s interference? I’d rather he’d complained to the IG than just put his head down and slogged on. Barr was way out of line. And insisting on periods after initials isn’t a sign of thoroughness, it’s a symptom of OCD. Style books are called style books, not grammar textbooks, for a reason. Conformity is fine, and has its advantages, but it’s hardly worth bragging about.

I am not saying the guy isn’t competent, and perhaps he’s just the ticket for this situation, but what’s been written about him here, I don’t find exceptionally impressive.

First things first. They need a copy editor. Then they can offer froufrous if they wish.
