“…while Trump is determined to place his case in the bogus context of political retaliation and election interference, it’s going to be difficult for him to escape the larger context that he is merely one of more than 1,000 Jan. 6 defendants.”
Trump will be 78 by the time he’s convicted of anything. The way our courts work his appeals will drag on for several years, to the point he’ll live out his remaining years before they’re resolved. He’ll grift the costs of all this from his deluded MAGA loyalists. Whatever happens house arrest, confinement to some palatial abode among his properties, is the worst that will happen. If you’re pining to see Trump suffer you’ll have to be satisfied with his wounded ego, that’s all you’ll ever get.

Nowhere did either CNN or the Washington Post draw the obvious inference: that the “high-end brothel” with the clientele of politicians, military, and other representatives of the US power structure was an intelligence operation run by (most likely) the Chinese, or some other foreign power.
Ummmm… Unless the Liberian flagged vessel was carrying arms, it is, at the very least, an act of war against a non-combatant state, and would be cause for Liberia to declare war on Russia. (Probably not in Liberia’s best interests.)
I don’t see how that would change anything. And it would violate the #1 rule of toilet paper (and paper towels): over, not under. https://patents.google.com/patent/US465588
I dunno, Russia’s supply lines are already stretched, their army overextended. This might just be the pretext Liberia needs to expand it’s geopolitical influence by creating a rump state in Eurasia.
