Before coming to comments, I noticed this quotation in Morning Memo: “’ Prosecutors have also issued several subpoenas to Mr. Trump’s company, the Trump Organization, seeking additional surveillance footage from Mar-a-Lago , his residence and private club in Florida, people with knowledge of the matter said.’” It struck me that, when the Oxford common is in use, the reader’s eye can move swiftly over “Mar-a-Lago, his residence and private club in Florida”: those aren’t three separate places but, rather, “his residence and private club” is a phrase in apposition to “Mar-a-Lago.” I think I read with thoughts like this dancing in the background of my head after so many years of editing and, esp., reading undergraduate essays.

Kaplan’s close friend Sharon Nelles, head of litigation at Sullivan & Cromwell, says: “If you can come at the world the way she does, you are not reined in by whether there are social constructs or boundaries. You can create your own mold. Lawyers for the most part react. Robbie acts.”
Nelles recalls a time when Kaplan called to consult on a case. “She’s yapping at me on the phone and then lets out a little screech.”
Nelles asked what was wrong. “Oh, I’m having a medical procedure,” Kaplan said. “Let me call you back when I get off the doctor’s table.”

A delicacy I indulged in for dinner last night was a ground beef chimichanga. Most folks would say it’s Mexican food since it’s found in Mexican restaurants. But truth be told it was invented by accident here in Tucson AZ. But one could say that since it’s a kind of burrito I could be corrected.

I am a fan of the many varieties of Mexican food. There are distinct regional differences. We know Tex/Mex or the more well known Sonoran style cooking. But there’s so much more.
I spent three years living in Chiapas state and they have their own style of cooking . The area has an indigenous folk style of cooking as a major component.

I don’t know anything about Boards and political / business knife-fighting. Also, I am no historian on U.S. and State parliamentary procedures. But I have never seen a state lege (FL) move so fast and bend over so hard for a Governor…to rubber stamp and OK and overturn and whitewash and coverup for one person like this. They move at lightning speed and change the laws while the investigations and motions are occurring.
