Banshees, in Irish folklore, were female spirits who, by keening, screaming, wailing and crying foretold the deaths of family members and loved ones. We need to bring back the Banshees by going to legislators houses, the courts, Congress, state houses to cry and wail over the gun deaths that have occurred and those yet to come. Let those addicted to guns and death face the screams of the women who give birth only to see their children murdered. Make them hear our grief.

It is time for the gloves to come off and the Democrats to get on board and start jaw boning this problem at every opportunity. At every speech between now and the election… every Democratic candidate and every left leaning commentator needs to open the floor by pointing out that the ‘Republican Experiment’ has failed. Even if there is not another Republican on the dais the leading talking point needs to come out swinging to make the point that gun violence is part and parcel of the Republican Brand. It has happened for so long and with such high frequency that it too regular and predictable to be a ‘bug’ in their plan. The very fact that there has been no internal reasoning within the Republican party that has sought to mitigate the damage means that this outcome is a ‘feature’.
The Republican Experiment has failed. If you want your kids to outlive you… Vote Democratic!

Outside guns are not allowed in the Capitol, the SCOTUS, the White House, or NRA Headquarters.
Gun control protects all the people who tell me guns make me safe.

At this point standing up to the gun lobby is too late to be effective. The guns are already out there. Standing up against gun nuttery is what’s needed now. Take Abbott’s quote about embarrassment over Californians buying more guns than Texans. That’s gun nuttery. There’s nothing Second Amendment related there. It’s gun worship.
“gun don’t kill people…people do”…OK than what’s the beef with identifying those people before they kill? But objection to background checks, waiting periods and hardware restrictions are universally held by gun nuts. “the only way to stop a bad guy with a gun is a good guy with a gun” is a pro violence falsehood. Stopping the bad guy from getting a gun in the first place would stop the bloodshed outright. But again that approach rubs the gun nuts raw. The gun is the Golden Calf and it must be worshiped at any expense.
It’s too damn late to do anything about a sea of guns. The first three words of the Second Amendment were authored to prevent our current state of affairs. But “a well regulated” turned into “no regulation” as Orwell said I told you so and here we are.
Somewhere a gun nut is salivating over his gun. In a short time he’ll have his gungasim and today’s shooting will be history. Cruz will use up another pre written platitude and all eyes will turn from Texas to a school in Florida or a mall in Indiana…where the lurking gun nut finally gets off.

The only thing that might have an effect is if one of these murderers attaches a GoPro camera to the barrel of their gun and records the horror of what they’re doing, in color with sound “up close and personal”. Every effort will be made to suppress the recording but if it gets out, things WILL change!
