Federal investigators are looking into a Bahamas trip Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL) as part of an inquiry into whether he violated sex trafficking laws, according to multiple reports.
Looks like he was trying to set the stage for an insanity defense:
Though he was taken to a hospital for medical evaluation after making suicide threats, the Sheriff’s Office confirmed he was not placed under Florida’s Baker Act, which allows for a person who is determined to be a threat to themselves or others to be temporarily admitted for mental health assessment.
After being evaluated, Greenberg was booked into the Seminole County jail, agency spokesperson Kim Cannaday confirmed.

Andrew Giuliani, a former top aide to President Donald Trump and son of “America’s Mayor,” is “heavily considering” a bid for governor of New York in 2022, potentially setting up an epic clash between the two biggest political families in recent New York history.
“I plan to run,” Giuliani told Secrets.
“Outside of anybody named Trump, I think I have the best chance to win and take the state back, and I think there’s an opportunity in 2022 with a wounded Democratic candidate, whether it’s going to be Gov. [Andrew] Cuomo, whether it’s going to be a radical [Attorney General] Letitia James, whether it’s going to be a no-name lieutenant governor, I think there’s a very, very real chance to win,” he added.
