I also think that Trump is also using tariffs as ways to distract and deflect from all the other issues that his administration is failing so miserably on.
I’m pretty sure that he’s as aware as we are that his immigration deportation policies are wildly unpopular and that the Texas flash flood and the Epstein files imbroglio are political nightmares that are making him look like what he is – a weak, vain, shallow fool. He’s like Sleeping Beauty Snow Whites’s wicked stepmother – he constantly needs reaffirmation that he’s the “fairest of them all” and right now he knows that he’s not getting the desired answer back and it’s making him frantic to change the subject.
