Although if I may put it slightly differently, I fail to see the news value in TPM’s fixation on an investigation that is personal to a congressman and has no value in regard to the nation’s policies.

If you don’t understand why a feckless congressman who owes his seat to senator daddy getting taken down via sex with an underage woman provided by a guy who set up sprinklers on the government dime to douse people he didn’t like and managed to set fire to his own office while alleging that the guy he recently beat in an election was carrying on a gay affair… I could go on with a dozen more salacious tidbits, but the point is, if you don’t think this story belongs here, you are on the wrong site.

More accurate would be to say “indicted”. Most likely then surrendering himself at the appointed time accompanied by a squad of attorneys, released on bail before the end of the day. So, no perp walk for us. Also, for max effectiveness, I would prefer he not be convicted (plea deal) until 2023, because that would remove a GOP critter from the House for 12-24 months.
