Think? Some people just have to pee on the electric fence for themselves.
More than that, you have to compare this year’s turnout to prior primary elections. It’s not a difficult analysis, but it’s detailed and time-consuming.
One of my favorite stories my Dad told about his time in Korea during the war (sorry, that was also “not really a war”.) They were told repeatedly “don’t go out and pee behind the barracks tent. Use the latrine.” Okay, fine. But it’s night and it’s cold and who wants to go all the way across to the latrine, right?
My Dad ducked behind the tent and found out exactly why…there was an electric fence that ran behind the barracks. He found it mid-stream.
He returned to his bunk. And didn’t tell a soul. Let them find out for themselves.
“I felt like it was important for me to continue to stand for Indiana issues instead of Washington politics,” Walker said
That’s the exact issue.
If Republicans want a big government telling them what to think, then vote Trump. Donald will be glad to take your money. That’s all Trump really wants – your money.
The politicians in Washington know what’s best for you.
At a first hasty scan, I read that as “defenestration.”
They can call it whatever, but Korea was every bit as much a war as any we ever had the misfortune to experience. And judging from the success of South Korea today, we could call it a win, even though there was never a peace treaty signed. The Veterans are passing away now and can go to their rest in honor, knowing what they saw and lived through. Maybe their monument won’t get bulldozed to make room for another trump dump.
The voices of experience.
MAYOR PETE: “Look, when you are this deep into your second year, if your reflex is to still be trying to blame the previous administration, it really shows that you are out of ideas, out of solutions, and unwilling to take ownership of your own choices.”
PRESIDENT OBAMA: "Today’s Supreme Court decision effectively guts a key pillar of the Voting Rights Act… it serves as just one more example of how a majority of the current Court seems intent on abandoning its vital role in ensuring equal participation in our democracy”
Just more proof the country is a “lost cause” at this point…
I’ll say. A proud tradition harkening back to the days of Governor Edward Jackson.
My Dad was denied membership to the local VFW because the WWII vets pointed out it was “Veterans of Foreign Wars” and Korea was a police action. They didn’t change that policy until 1995. At which point my Dad said “screw you. No more world wars so you suddenly realize you need us. I don’t need you.”
Could “defenestration” be considered 86ing without frivolous legal consequences?
Just played a CD..
All the songs were mixed to the same volume and, get this, no adverts at all.
I’m telling you, this is the future.

The commentariat puts on it’s shocked pikachu face once again because they refuse to publicly admit that this result was entirely predictable because MAGA is not a political party, it’s a cult and cult leaders don’t become lame ducks. Admitting that MAGA is a cult would also be admitting how they sane washed Trump for years and they were and continue to be complicit in making this sad state of affairs possible and they will never do that.
I am a member of the VFW and the American Legion but I don’t go to either because of their failure to stand up to and run down Trump.
I spent a year in Indianapolis one week for work.
Maybe a glass half full even re: Indiana might help, with me knowing little about the state and wondering if all the guys from Hickory High School and their children would end up being Trumpies (they MUST care about fertilizer costs) and accepting that state legislative primaries may not be the most compelling must-do elections, Trump endorsees have won five of six which means 17% (I know: 1/6) of those seats disclaimed Trump. The remaining race that is too close to call has the pro-democracy person in front by four votes at this writing. The races were easily settled with low ‘N’s’ (to be sure) but, whatever the other dynamics of particular races, the anti-Trump votes among what have to be hardcore R’s ranged from about 25% to more than 50% in one three person race. That seems to me to be a pretty good showing of R’s who do NOT want to follow Trump’s lead on the matter. That does not seem to be good news for Trump World.
Our former chorus director posted this to show why he gave up on the free Spotify account:
“… And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host, praising God and saying: 'American Family Insurance you can reach out to your loved ones this holiday season with the gift of music…”
Even if it is due to those being further on the right having a higher propensity to vote, it clearly shows why Trumps hold on the Republican Party is effective. Yes,maybe these hard right candidates can’t win a general election, but if you can’t make it through a primary you’ve still lost.
