LOS ANGELES (AP) — The mayor of Los Angeles on Wednesday told everyone in the nation’s second-largest city to start wearing masks to combat the coronavirus, but California’s governor isn’t ready to take that idea statewide.

Our most vibrant and populous cities. Now ghost-towns where masked residents avoid one another at all costs.
Or, Trump-villes.

So when are Ivanka’s new Covid fashion mask (manufactured from those shithole countries of course) going to hit CA fashion markets?
Snark aside, see WHO advice for the public on when and how to use masks.

The mask most desperately needed if we’re gonna get out of this alive…

And let’s stay away from certain masks:

How long before this happens?
The upside is that the baddies that want facial recognition everywhere are being thwarted. Maybe mask wearing will catch on for multiple reasons.
Fine. Where exactly are we expected to procure said masks?

Per the article “residents … should wear homemade, non-medical face coverings, or even bandannas.”

I’m usually pretty happy to live in CA, despite its flaws the state usually leads the nation in taking care of citizens. They really have done a good job in confronting the virus, especially without federal help. Things could have gone better, like the state taking more severe steps in certain ways, but absent federal leadership and organization that would have made that easier (or let them know to do it) they have done alright. Our medical system is responding well so far and looks like it won’t get overwhelmed, so we should come out of this far better than the red states…those poor bastards are really going to get fucked over when this takes off there in the next couple weeks.
