He’s not anti-AI in general; this is about the financial shenanigans of the hyperscalers building data centers, combined with the hopeless dreams of OpenAI and Anthropic ever becoming profitable enough to pay for their compute commitments driving that build-out.

Blaming MBAs for the failures and distortions of company behaviors is sort of like blaming journalists for us failing to have an informed society.
Yes, there is plenty to criticize with both groups in their respective roles. And will eliminating MBAs (or journalists) actually change our society? I think that is a self-answering question.
IMO, the problem with profit is when it becomes the only stake holder in society, when capital is always valued over other inputs like labor or community or consumers. And that issue is about who has power and the values of our society.
Edit: And capital is a very serious issue for driving distortions. I would reference Thomas Pikkety, “Capital in the Twenty First Century”. I suspect if we eliminated MBAs, they would just get re-invented.
