I’m not surprised at all by this unfortunately. There was a similar situation like this here in Baltimore where Kevin Plank of Under Armour also was profiting from “advantageously” drawn opportunity zones south of Inner Harbor. And the rich get richer…

Was gonna say the same about baltimore. Also, didn’t i read somewhere where jared and ivanka were investing in these opportunity zone in baltimore all the while receiving big tax cuts.

Awww, jeez. I thought he was one of the good guys. Do we have to kill all billionaire scum?

Yup, and just saw that the Maryland AG is suing Jared’s real estate company so at least he’ll get some measure of karmic payback for prior bad acts.

“any additional gains from the new investment are tax-free after 10 years.”

Dear Middle Class
The above rule does not apply to you.

But the deplorables love the NBA. So in a way, they got a tax break, too…

Win win…

I recall and article that said similar things were happening in Baltimore…more and more it seems like this was another giveaway to the wealthy instead of a program to help poor people in bad areas in America. I guess that shouldn’t be a surprise, all Republicans want to do is increase inequality, so giving wealthy people the opportunity to buy up cheap property in distressed neighborhoods and replace it with another expensive shopping and living area for the wealthy is right up their alley.

Billionaire behaves badly because the billions he already has aren’t enough.

Almost as socking a story as the one about trump helping him cash in on a GOP-authored tax give away.

And that some Dems touted this provision of the tax giveaway? Also very schocking.
