That they’re butt hurt by their fear of exposure?
ETA: That the reactionaries implicated in the insurrection are trying to extort an end to one line of inquiry, should, in and of itself, make it of greater interest to the committee.

Does anyone else remember “The Beer Hall Putsch”, Adolph Hitler’s first attempt to seize power?
It, and the aftermath, was a clown show just like we are seeing about 1/6/2021. Nobody took it seriously either.
And well I hate Hitler comparisons, there are not that many modern day insurrections to compare and the way the traitors then and now are able to freely grab for headlines by lying about what actually happened and why, is terrifying to this student of history.
It reminds me of the opening to William Shires “The Rise and Fall of the Third Reich”,
“Those who forget the past are condemned to relive it”.
This is serious and the Democrats need to pick up the pace of their investigations. The deplorable dozen, the 12 congressional Republicans who records are being sought, need to either be cleared or expelled from congress and prosecuted ASAP.
The halls of Government are no place for traitors.

I hope one of the first things that the committee did was plot where everyone of the House members and Senate members were on that day.
