Okay, granted, it’s rare-though far from unheard of-for them to accidentally release the Official Talking Points to the public, but was there really any question that they do this about everything? Did people think it’s a coincidence that they’re always all duckspeaking out the exact same talking points on every topic within hours of an event? For over 40 years the central Republican M.O. has been to lie about the purported “benefits” of its only actual goal (tax cuts and regulatory changes to shovel wealth from the poor and middle classes toward the largest corporations and the very richest Americans) because they know that if its actual aims, and the actual practical results of its policies were clearly understood, it could not possibly win elections. Part of this whole M.O. is the constant use of “projection” (as in, “I know you are but what am I?”) and “bothsidesism,” with which they have a great deal of help in the prostituted “mainstream media.”
So this is nothing new whatsoever.

Ah, I see your point. And that’s why the powers that be (the truly corrupt ones) count on the general citizenry needing two jobs, having hectic lives, outlaw abortions, etc. – the more the better so as to control the narrative as much as possible.
In the end, it really does come down to us participating as much as possible, prioritizing, etc. Still, I understand what you mean.
