The new tariff refund portal — offering businesses a first chance to reclaim funds they were forced to pay for Trump’s blanket tariffs, which were blocked by the Supreme Court — went live Monday.
It occurred to me today that in addition to any reimbursements importers may get, they are not likely going to refund any fees that were passed on to consumers. So, in effect, the tariffs refunds result in a windfall to those importers–ultimately another gift for businesses from Trump. Am I wrong? (I so want to be wrong on this)

Well, they MIGHT protect the privacy of anyone claiming a GOP rep was involved, but I think you’re absolutely correct. Even if they DO investigate, if it’s against a GOP rep, the “thorough” investigation will likely take a v-e-r-y l-o-n-g t-i-me…

Yes but not totally, some business, like Costco, were actually eating a good portion of the tariffs themselves hoping it was going to be a temporary thing.

This makes the 3rd Trump Cabinet member forced out do to sex, corruption, drinking and incompetence in the last few weeks. It should be noted that the three were far from the worst offenders of sex, corruption, drinking and incompetence.
But what is most striking is that all 3 who were fired for being corrupt, drunk, incompetent and having affairs are women and are all being replaced with men.
That is it is now obvious that Trump is finding excuses to fire women and replace them by having different standards for men and women.
I mean in the Trump world a woman guilty of drinking, corruption, incompetence and sex “slutty, bad and stupid” whereas a man in Trump world who is an incompetent drunken thief guilty of Epstein like crimes its, “you go man.”
