But expulsion is off the table. Who does he have dirt on?

I don’t know if anything is beyond the pale for the GOP now— he’ll probably stay.

He’s a vote in a tightly held house. They’d keep him if he had a bright red tail that punctuated his remarks.

Meh, this doesn’t bother me, his presence makes Republicans look bad. At least the media does make note on occasion as Santos is a shiny object…

As the single seat changes little, it’s worth having him around another year…

Similarly Republicans don’t even call on Menendez to resign from the upper chamber.

One can only hope the DoJ finds enough evidence to prosecute this scumbag.

“Sure, he’s a lying, scheming, corrupt, disgusting crook! But he’s OUR lying, scheming, corrupt, disgusting crook!”

The only folks on the Republican side who clammer for ouster are the guys who need to make a show of it for their constituents in New York. That’s all performative. The rest of the party is more interested in his vote and will hide behind “let the voters decide” until his term is over.

The House is on recess until November 28 and I doubt they get to this until after the first of the year. That is if they get to it at all.

George Santos didn’t fully cooperate!?!!? Maybe they should have asked Anthony Devolder or Kitara Ravache

He’s your run of the mill grifter who was elected and never thought he would get caught.

Santos “blatantly stole from his campaign” and “cannot be trusted,” the committee report said.

Sounds like a typical GQP to me. Bet nothing happens to this guy until the election next year. They’ll keep him, even if they have to hold their noses from the stench while keeping him.
