House Dems Weigh Legal Action Over Trump’s Library Of Congress Meddling: ‘The President Probably Violated The Law’

Dewey Decimal wouldn’t help him since the Library of Congress specifically uses the Library of Congress classification system.

Probably violated the law. Strongly consider legal action.

Congressional Democrats are scaring the shit out of the orc horde, that’s for sure. I know I shouldn’t criticize the good guys, but some aggressive statements about what everyone sees happening right in front of their eyes wouldn’t hurt, would it?

‘The President Probably Violated The Law’
Democrats need to start taking some cues from Republicans on how to talk about the opposition party. Weak Sauce

Why do I get the feeling a Speaker Pelosi would’ve cracked some nuts with her giant gavel by now?

Sigh…We really need more women in Congress. Pelosi, AOC and so many good women who are not afraid to tell it like it is, and stand up to the bullies and the shit spewers. Women who have been: A) married. B) raised boy children know when they are being fed a load of manure.
In fact, we need a woman as President. We haven’t had any man act like he was in charge since Harry Truman.

That struck me too.

But Jeffries failing is not including qualifications in his statements, but failing to clearly state the issue. This is the Library of Congress, not the Library of the President, and Trump’s firing/appointing of his personal lawyer is a direct assault on Congress and the Constitution’s separation of powers. That’s how you fight back - make it about higher principles than legal technicalities.

Just as meaningless as all the other court cases - a sternly worded letter, chucked in the trash, delayed, argued about, disputed, turned into a state secret, and finally, when all delay efforts are exhausted, completely ignored by TSF as he spews out another 3 blatantly illegal and unconsitutional acts per day.

How unmurky would the “illegal” hafta be Mr Jeffries, for you to get excited? Article1 section 9 is clear about gifts to any office holder from heads of state. I would expect the qataris are expecting a return on their “investment” with that opulent plane.

“Out of control executive” branch. Sheesh! trump is worked up about the Library of Congress having books he doesn’t like. Ok donnie… don’t read them then. No one is forcing you to read books you don’t like.
Sheesh!

The implication that the most corrupt, lawless POTUS in the history of the United States “probably violated the law” is a scurrilous accusation.

Next thing you know people will be suggesting he’s a career criminal who openly fantasizes about pedophilia and rapes young girls.

I wouldn’t trust him with a library card, so I doubt it. Let’s face it - the only real qualification for job in the Trump administration is to be a maximalist asshole.

Let’s all remember, this pettiness is at the behest of Miller and the surrounding GOP/ Project 2025ers.
Trump wouldn’t know there is a library of congress, what it does, or who heads it. This is pure racism from the top echelons of the Cato Institute types.

As several people noted in responses, no, Trump know anything about the LOC and was probably prompted by being told that the Librarian was a female POC. Musk, however, sees the LOC as an opportunity to scrape yet more data into his AI-driven fever dream. Blanche’s one qualification, as noted in the post, is that. he’s a Senate confirmed officer in the executive branch. That’s why he can be slotted into the position for which he has no skills or experience on a “temporary basis” [see, Marco Rubio]. He will neutralize the Copyright Office, at least long enough for the theft and destruction to occur. Note that the Congressional Research Service is also part of the LOC and in Trump I they published studies critically analyzing his policies and procedures.

So much winning!
