There aren’t enough jail cells in the contiguous United States …
Damn, you’re like Debbie Downer.

I prefer to think of this situation as a lot more energized in the opposite direction than what you’ve described. If the GOP story is so absurd how is it that tRump and Co.'s explanation can be easily understood? I can barely make sense of the ever-changing stories on a daily, if not hourly, basis. Its just more conspiracy-mongering writ large.
I think the recent poll numbers indicate even tRump’s most ardent GOP supporters are getting tired of him and his chaotic style to some degree. The implications of how he’s managed to extort Ukraine to go after a potential political rival in contravention of US law is easily understood. They may not like Joe Biden, but what tRump and his criminal cohorts have done, is not at all hard to understand. These are the same people once-upon-a-time that went after Bill Clinton over campaign finance money from a Chinese National that managed to funnel money to the DNC in 1996, if you remember. Its always funny how when the tables are turned GOP amnesia tends to set in. Funny, but not surprising.
Now, add to that, his most recent decision to unilaterally (not even in consultation with our military or national security apparatus) has altered our foreign policy with regards to ISIS in Syria vis a vis the Kurds as our allies, and you have even more reason for Americans to doubt his efficacy other than for personally selfish reasons. All it took was one or two phone chats with Erdogan, who he just happens to have a business relationship with along with some other Turkish elites, and we have yet another example of his failure to protect our own national security. The man operates the office he holds completely for his own self-interest. Its not a hard story to tell regardless of the kind of disinformation campaign on Facebook or elsewhere he runs to deceive the most gullible dumbshits that still want to support him.
Truth will win out…though it may take some time to wake some in the country that still want to tell themselves pretty lies.
Until the House is willing, and actively, engaged in enforcing the subpoenas #45 will keep on stonewalling.
I’m by no means ready to start counting chickens, but to say Dems haven’t rolled out a story - how can you think that? The DT/Drooliani/etc corruption is all over the news, and judging by recent poll trends, it’s not the GOP story that’s resonating. Sure, the Korruption Kleanup Krew will keep going hard with the “I’m rubber, you’re glue” defense, and it may even bring a few people back their way, but it’s outright preposterous to say Dems haven’t done anything.
That’s an easy question.
Their story is easily understood by people who don’t think the way you do. Not saying they think better or worse, just utterly different.
If current trends continue, the species may diverge. De-evolution.
Can the House subpoena Sen. Ron Johnson? He apparently talked to Sondland about the aid to Ukraine, and being in contempt of Congress might be a bigger deal for him.
2 arrests today of close business associates of Rudy’s. Let it be known that if you associate in any illegal way with this administration you will be charged and jailed. Leave Rudy and the rest isolated - trump will not help them. Soon there will be a long line of people willing to make deals and trades for information. The only way the republicans will finally realize they need to save themselves is to bury them individually in charges and fear of either the loss of freedom or the loss of their political career.
I agree, impeachment is a strategy. Trump is now at the highest point of republican support that he will have, every day his support decreases and less and less republicans would vote to find him not guilty. That’s why trump wants impeachment now, and why every day that goes by without an official vote, harms him with more information, more charges, and less support.
At this point I don’t believe that trump supports are thinking at all, they are merely reacting.
