Corrupted Homan is such a marble-mouthed moron. Jesus of Nazareth would likely not approve of the unConstitutional violence and secret-police tactics foisted on the immigrant class, legal or otherwise, that UberFurher Miller has convinced his desperate degenerate OverLord is good for American politics. Who will be the first public Evangelical “Leader” to state this obvious factoid? ••••• Why do these sheep welcome the wolf into their pens? Are the sheep going to pick your strawberries and tomatoes? No.

Homan may as well say “praise Lord and pass the brass knuckles.”

As an attendee of a social justice based church, there is no way I can support, countenance or in any way acknowledge this message as anything related to the religion I have been a part of all my life.

This is NOT what Jesus would do. No way, no how.

I hope this message is resoundingly rejected.

It’s been a minute since I was in church, but I remember something about “whatever you do to the least of these, you do it to me.” I know this: you’re more likely to find Jesus in a detention center than in a gilded ballroom.

Yes! The way to reject this message is to do whatever we can for those rejected by the GOPAdministration. Response need not be dramatic, just relentlessly intentional. Every one of us, and all of us together, have plenty of opportunities to reach out to help someone. Vote!

Agree! Jesus is where the pain and suffering are happening in and among those who are offering help.

I am beginning to think that if Jesus was alive today, the evangelicals would be cheering him being nailed to the cross.

I’m a bit surprised that with growing dissatisfaction over the admin’s handling - mostly violent - of immigration and ICE, they’d go out of their way to emphasize it just weeks before the mid-terms.

What further proof do you need that christianity in this country is a fascist cult. When they look at Jesus on the cross, they can only be thinking “good, he was a criminal, pissed off the authorities, got exactly what he deserved”

Religion has always been a mental illness, now it’s a fascist pantomime, too

American Catholics are unrecognizable to the rest of us. It’s almost as if they had to watch their mouths or they’d get the same treatment they got all over Northern Europe.

God bless the Reformation and all that, but Southern Europe did not require it; the question is, do you want the sophistication of the millennially destitute, risen to relative civility through the slaughter of their neighbor and fidelity to power, or the unenlightened rabble of the uncouth and disparate, laden with ancient ways -

Pickled herring?

Or bœuf en croûte?

All the churches of Nazi Germany went along with Fascism. Their army was 2/3 Protestant, 1/3 Catholic.

How did this buffoon get this job. He does not look central casting.

As Jesus said, as reported by Matthew Chpt25 v40: "And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me."

You paint with too broad a brush. All the German churches did not go along with nazi fascism. E.g. the Confessing Church personified by Martin Niemoller, or Dietrich Bonhoeffer; the latter was executed by hanging shortly before war’s end.

I am done using “evangelicals” or “christians” to describe these people. They are simply racist fascists and none of their bullshit deserves to be cloaked in religion anymore. Granting them that lets them hide behind it.

OK audience ask yourself, who would Jesus, the Prince of Peace, brutalize?

Remember the Nazis were good Christians too.

This article gives the impression that Homans’ speech was so repellent and raving that it would turn off listeners. However, Homans managed to depict ICE as saving trafficked children, who were illegally in the US, and who are so frightened of ICE that they hide from the very people who will save them - by deporting them.

Remember they are very good at picking and choosing what verses they want to follow.
