Hogan Condemns Attacks On Fauci As Trump Admin’s ‘Biggest Mistake’ In COVID Response | Talking Points Memo

Maryland Gov. Larry Hogan (R) said Thursday that the White House’s efforts to discredit Dr. Anthony Fauci, who has emerged as a critical scientific voice on the Coronavirus Task Force, was probably “one of the biggest mistakes they’ve made.”

I’m sorry, but the biggest mistake is imPotus’ refusal to wear a mask.

Um, no, attacking Fauci is far from their biggest “mistake”.

So, Hogan is either a halfwit or a liar.

Addendum:

Well whaddya know, Larry Hogan is a fucking racist. Watch out for those “moderate” Republicans. They are still fucking Republicans. (Yes, it is so desirable to have a good Republican one can get behind – the joy of exercising good will, the siren call of centrism and bipartisanship, and all that – but chances are, you are going to be screwed.)

I get the feeling Governor Hogan is ready to jump in when Donnie resigns, scarpers, or gets booted before November.

Even so, fun to see the list of Repubicans trashing Fat Nixon get longer and longer.

And we know where Hogan’s real priorities are. If your belief that the biggest mistake, when a 135,000+ American lives have been lost, is PR related, you’re fucked in the head. Like the rest of them.

No his biggest mistake was in coming down that fucking escalator and running for the presidency.

In fairness, the headline does not reflect the quote in the article. The quote says “one of the biggest mistakes they’ve made.”. Not the biggest. Important distinction. If he really said “one of” then the headline should be changed.

Hogan, a Republican out front to speak out about the corrupt and miscreant known as Donnie. When will the other Repubs do the decent thing? Hogan has paved the way for them.

It’s a mistake but one of hundreds so far. The worst is trump denying there’s a problem at all and taking no responsibility which is criminal dereliction of duty in my humble opinion. He is only interested in reelection which would save is ass from indictment. He has no care at all of the job. None.
If trump cared there would be a national plan pf action on covid and he would work night and day to get folks on board but as it is he is in a state of insane irrational incomprehensible epic nonsensical denial. His only care is himself. Everyone else is on their own.
But finally Nancy Pelosi spoke up. Sadly it’s too little and way too late.

Blood in the water. The bolder ones are getting ready for the post-Trump GOP.

No the biggest mistake was thinking that just because he banned some passengers from China, the whole thing was not going to happen.

The biggest mistake will be when they try to force kids back to school.

That will be the final nail in the coffin. Only the truest of Trump Kool Aid drinkers will be with him.

Nobody would be in favor of it at all hardly if there was alternative child care for working parents. That’s what this is all about. Making the cogs in the machines go back to their daily toil.

Personally I think classrooms are more than just daycare and I don’t particularly like the fact that in this country that’s what they are.

“We just need the President to lead and focus on these issues and maybe not worry so much about his twitter account,” Hogan said.

Evidently Larry’s fantasy life remains undiminished.

Attacking Fauci doesn’t even make the top 10 of mistakes Trump made regarding COVID-19. 130,000+ dead Americans can attest to that.

The better and easier question is: What has he done right?

Nothing. Nada. Zip. He’s made it all WORSE.

I didn’t take Hogan’s comments that way. He’s been trashing Trump on his handling of the pandemic. If Trump had listened, or empowered Pence to enact what Fauci wanted done then Trump wouldn’t have directed Navarro to trash Fauci. Fauci’s poll numbers are better than Trump’s.

Social Change is like that.

Like a snowball, and the difference in increase can be unnerving. It’s not a rider on a bronc for Trump. It’s more like Ahab on a White Whale.

So far, McConnell, Barr, GOP Senate, friendly judges, FOX have kept it underTrump’s control so much that Mary Trump’s offering is more like a necessary push than just an interesting book.

We are still not there yet (because I see too much despair when Team Trump throws a monkey-wrench in the mix–and he’s got a collection at his disposal). But, ideally, we will know we are there when the despair seems odd instead of “insightful”.
