There continue to be no new updates as to Christie’s condition. I have been checking everyday for news, there just isn’t any. The only thing that IS new, is him being called, ‘A New Jersey Fighter.’ That obviously makes me wonder how sick he really is.This seems to be more than a bit disturbing, at least to me. The median hospital stay for Covid is five days, he is now over that. The last time he tweeted was last saturday, when he said he was going to check himself into the hospital, out of an, ‘abundance of caution.’ Well, it seems like he made the right decision, considering he is still a patient.

I believe moving to a virtual format would require a change to senate rules which in turn would require 60 votes for approval. I could be wrong but if that turns out to be true it ain’t gonna happen any time soon.

Anyone who thinks that our systems of checks and balances has worked over the last 4 years is out of his mind. Our system is horribly broken and ineffective. It’s self-evident that Trump is still in office, and not in prison. There is no “good news” about the utter failure of Congress (both parties) to stop Trump in his criminal tracks. This country is failing fast and Biden’s election will just be a band-aid over gangrene. Again, if a “Trump” can survive for a full term, the USA is very close to being a failed state.

What I understand is that the hearings can be held virtually with no rule changes, but when it is time to vote they must be physically present. If Dems boycot and don’t attend there may be a quorum problem if some of the GOP members are sick and cannot attend.

Oh yeah. I seem to recall a lot of suspicion toward him for the crime of continuing to work at what was probably his best job ever, one he was suited for and committed to, while Donald Trump was president. I strongly question whether any of these folks ever quit a job on principle and found out you can’t always get another one just like that. And government jobs aren’t always replaceable. The United States government is the only government we have. You can’t quit your job in, say, the Coast Guard, and get a job guarding the coast with some other outfit. But some people would rather growl than think about things like that, so there you are.
