That, and Younger abstention. Not supposed to use a federal court to collaterally attack a criminal proceeding in state court, even if you’re claiming some sort of federal right.

Bye-bye, Lindz. Off you go to Fulton County!

Religious strongly held beliefs are whatever they want them to be. Take the Mormons, Joseph Smith started banging the woman that was doing the shorthand of him translating the Golden Plates, and what you know? The Lord sent him a vision and polygamy was kosher, it was all cool until Brigham Young want to run for president and would you believe that God sent a vision stating that polygamy was no longer cool? Same thing with blacks they were the “sons of cain” until the freaking prophecy of civil rights came along.

Either way he says he has nothing to hide, just gathering info, a duty in his position. So he can tell the Grand Jury in person. I mean what is the harm?

If a pharmacist refuses at give a woman such drugs and there are bad consequences, will DOJ bring charges against the pharmacist?

Brigham Young had been dead for nearly two decades before God told Wilford Woodruff to knock it off with the polygamy.

Fun fact: Joseph Smith’s surviving family tried to blame all the polygamy stuff on Young. It seems they weren’t especially fond of Joe’s swinging lifestyle.

Here’s a radical idea, instead of a mealy mouth proclamation or issuing guidance, arrest one of these assholes and put them in jail. In fact arrest every one you can get your hands on.

Well, you know it is a crime to lie to a grand jury, and the Georgia prosecution team has been collecting a lot of evidence. If Lindsey lies to the grand jury he could find himself in more hot water that if he had appeared on Fox News and told the same story.

He is going to lose every challenge all the way to the Supreme Court of the United States. The unelected super legislature will then miraclously throw out 250 years of American jurisprudence when they rule IOKIYAR is found some where in the secret version of the Constitution that only they read.

On the original topic, I am shocked Sammy Alito and the Fundamentalist Catholic Five didn’t anticipate his ruling would be encouraging anti-abortion states to violate existing Federal law.

Biden administration officials on Wednesday said they are sending memos to tens of thousands of pharmacies nationwide to warn against refusing abortion or contraception care medications prescriptions.

“That ain’t right. Let’s go Brandon.”

The HHS official also reportedly said that people who believe they’ve experienced discrimination when seeking to fill abortion medication prescriptions can file formal complaints with the agency’s civil rights office.

Why not just go ahead and provide a $10K bounty for anyone reporting a rogue pharmacist who’s subsequently convicted of violating federal law? Give 'em a dose of their own medicine.

The same Walgreen’s pharmacies that may deny contraception will be perfectly happy to sell a pregnant woman cigarettes and alcohol.

From the linked article it appears Graham is going all in on the speech and debate clause. I’m confident that Alito can find four other Black Robes to agree that the text “any speech or debate in either House” in Article I, §6 clearly includes a speech the senator makes from his private office, over the telephone, that no other senator can hear. Besides, all is good because the full conversation, including the words spoken on the floor of the Senate and the words inserted or appended by Sen. Graham, has been duly recorded in the Congressional Record.

The concept that closely held corporations have sincerely held religious beliefs is “deeply rooted in this Nation’s history and tradition.” The real question is whether Alito will now expand that noble doctrine to include publicly traded corporations or if that is a bridge too far for this theocratic cretin.

So one individual is allowed to tell everyone what they can and can’t do. And he probably doesn’t pay taxes. Why in America is this cult free from governance by any governmental agency? . Sounds unconstitutional to me.
