Joe Biden will use an executive order on Friday to defend access to abortion, according to a report. The Associated Press cited three anonymous sources privy to the president’s plans on how he will respond to the Supreme Court’s ruling that ended the constitutional right to abortion two weeks ago. The executive action Biden is expected to unveil Friday morning will involve mitigating some of the potential punishments that women could face in the wake of the ruling, though it is said to be limited in how it will actually protect abortion access across the country. Sources say his order will codify instructions to the Departments of Justice and Health and Human Services to oppose efforts to restrict women’s ability to access federally approved abortion medication. He’ll also instruct the agencies to push back on similar efforts clamping down on women’s ability to travel across state lines for the procedure.

But huge numbers of independents and more traditional Republicans will find themselves unwilling to make the effort to deliberately select an erratic unstable moron to represent their state… for SIX YEARS … they may decide that they want no part of installing an ignorant inexperienced buffoon who will make every backwards, dimwitted, rube stereotype about Georgia echo deafening for a long long time.

I won’t repeat the entire story, but to once again borrow a great phrase from previous Japanese PM Naoto Kan, the GOP is no longer an actual political party, rather, it is an “election machine”. The GOP now only exists to elect pols who will serve the wishes of its wealthy donors. It has no economic policy, or really, any policies at all. It isn’t even particularly ideological: it just wants to ‘own the libs’. The MAGA base wants to keep the libs owned and America ‘White’ for as long as possible, so they vote for anyone with an R next to their name.

No news to anyone who’s been following national politics for the past 20 years or so, but: these people clearly have no policy recommendations of any real sort, aside from “keep taxes low; keep white people and evangelicals from opting out of elections; keep an eye of Trump and try to avoid doing/saying something that he’ll take to be a sign of disloyalty.”

Just to reassure everyone, Trump did make his typical moronic statement about the Abe murder and true to form said “few people know” what a great leader Abe was, which as we all know means Trump had never heard of Abe when he became president. Few people knew anything much about the prime minister of Japan yeah right pal.
