Absolutely. The conservadems killed us, both figuratively and perhaps literally. Still are.

People are losing their jobs, SNAP benefits delayed, health insurance premiums rising to unaffordable levels, groceries more expensive and the Republicans blame Democrats.

I know anyone would have gone broke betting on Trump’s political demise over the last 10-plus years, but his time of reckoning might well be nigh.

After Tuesday he legitimately looks like the lame duck president he is. Demands to kill the filibuster are tepid, have no teeth and are being ignored by his usually sycophantic Senate. Behind the scenes it seems the GOP is very much freaking out. And all the insanity and overreach of these last ninth months actually seems to be coming home to roost.

I bet the next ‘No Kings’ rally is gonna be lit.

And while the legacy fourth estate is a trainwreck, there’s a strong independent center and left media growing by leaps and bounds.

The Bulwark has been doing the lord’s work opposing Trump from day one, Raging Moderates fills an important niche, Molly Jong-Fast is as awesome as ever and has stellar guests on the reg, Adam Mockler has been on a massive heater, Pod Save America is great, and so many more like Legal AF, Alex Wagner, many journalists exiled from years-long roles in legacy media and so many more are building an information, news and opinion infrastructure that is really challenging the right’s echo chamber.

There’s a lot to be hopeful about right now. A new day is dawning and the arc of justice is bending back toward the light.

I think we need a Federal government investigation and intervention at the Heritage Foundation so the anti-semites don’t feel like their views are being oppressed. The more the Nazi members of the Republican Party are allowed to speak the better.

Not that I expect the Democrats to be able to do anything with any of this. They’ll tie themselves in knots because some sophomore at Bennington said something about the Palestinians children being murdered by Israeli snipers.

he would be required to attend a Shabbat dinner and violate his own faith

Finally, some liberalism among Republicans: as Americans, you have a limited right to the wrong religion.

early takes are often wrong

Repeat that. Now, say it again. And again…

In an early procedural hearing in the prosecution of former FBI Director James Comey, U.S. Magistrate Judge William E. Fitzpatrick deplored the government’s “indict first and investigate second” approach.

That’s bad. But still better than ICE’s approach of jail first, then….is there supposed to be a second part? Oh, yes. Deport without a trial, hearing, investigation, or ability to put up a defense.

If it wasn’t for sycophants they’d be naked from the waist down.

And that reminds me; how the ever lovin’ feck does having dinner with a Jewish family “violate his own faith.”??? Jewish people do not ordinarily proselytize, or so I have been led to believe. These people are all so full of shit.

Don;t know how much it’ll help since it seems there’ll always be a fresh corps of massive bigots of all stripes eager to jump onto Heritage’s well-funded (by billionaire bigots) payroll. But it’s still kinda nice to see them getting a bit tattered because they haven’t actually come to agreement among themselves about the deets ot their shared package of virulent multiplicitous hatreds.

The GOP didn’t want any health care reform and they knew that if the ACA passed they had a very limited time window to kill it before it became the stepping stone to single payer health care in the US. It sucks that the republicans are going to the mattresses to rescind the ACA subsidies and Medicaid, but they are doing it to prevent single payer by making Americans believe that it would be prohibitively expensive…..
