When is it VD Hanson’s turn to drive?

Considering where the economy is today and that he never listens to advice, there’s a greater need for a traffic cop in the middle of the Sahara than for an economic advisor in this feckless Administration.

Not sure what the cubic model is but just practicing my snip and past of tweets I like!

Guess he picked the short straw. Look at the other possibilities among the fellowship: Henry Kissinger, John Yoo, Mad Dog Mattis, and What’s his name, one of many National Security Advisors, McMaster. Quite a collection of questionables, IMHO.

So. Little. Time!

Stanford must be so proud. It’s reputation just went down another notch. Something wrong in the water in Palo Alto.

Stanford does not have any control over the Hoover inst.

that’s true. I think they just rent space nearby, and pay to use the name Stanford.

It’s all totally fixed now - why stick around?

Has everyone, even the TPM writers, forgotten that already? The “cubic model” was Hassett’s prediction, on May 4, that covid deaths would go down to zero by May 15. Apparently based on fitting a third order polynomial trend line in Excel to the data at the time. Here’s what it looks like (in blue), along with how the actual data has gone since then (in gray). As you can see, the very next week was especially unkind to the model, which depended a lot on ending on a Monday when typically the lowest numbers of the week are released.

“White House adviser Kevin Hassett will reportedly depart the Trump administration this summer following his return in March to assist the President in response to the economic turbulence from the COVID-19 pandemic.”

And what a fine job he did. Based on this updated CV, he has a big future ahead of him in discount tire sales.

“Our capital stock hasn’t been destroyed — our human capital stock is ready to get back to work…”

If I didn’t know better, I would think that he was advocating for a return to slavery.

I don’t know, but I suspect that Roy Moore would have ridden Sassy in.

BTW, Isn’t “Sassy” the perfect name for a horse that would wear a #MeToo tattoo while being “ridden” by Moore?
