Harris Pushes To Make Strong Closing Vibes A Reality In Last Day Of Campaign

This is good.

Re this–

There are two possibilities here: Either we’re going to see ticket-splitting on a level we haven’t in recent cycles — a significant counterpoint to the calcification experts have been tracking in national and even more local politics for years — or at least one of these sets of numbers is off.

–in both Texas and Kansas, GOPers are running ads asking their voters not to split tickets. They at least strongly suspect it’s happening, or those ads wouldn’t be there.

I loved watching that all the way through, it was a very thorough scan of the empty seats and people leaving, and went on for quite a bit before the screen suddenly read, “The livestream will continue in a moment”…

Better put as a question that answers itself. That said, never make an assumption that presupposes your desired outcome.

This is why some of them have started talking about removing the franchise from women. Let’s see to it that they never get the chance!

Someone as rich as Musk can afford a side project or two. I don’t think the Twitter purchase was directly related to Trump.

Musk had been talking for a least a year beforehand about wanting to set up a U.S. version of China’s WeChat, a do-everything app that combines social media with banking, booking tickets, etc. Basically everything you can do with a phone app all rolled into one, and you never leave it. The China model. He called it “Project X” before he bought Twitter.

Instead of building a U.S. WeChat it from scratch where he’d have to attract users, he bought Twitter for the captive user base. He’s done a little with banking and pay-for-content, but that initial idea collapsed as he couldn’t resist turning it into a personal megaphone for his ideas and politics. Supporting Trump was just the natural outcome for a guy with who turned Twitter into a rightwing troll farm.

If we do, it will be on the backs of Black women of all ages.

It is becoming clear what is going to happen tomorrow, inshallah, and that is that women, specifically Republican women, are going to carry Harris to a stunning and massive victory.

“Constitutional sheriff and stump-jumper Dar Leaf,” please. Some Michigander said here years ago that that’s what folks in their region called people from Dar’s region, stump-jumpers. He seems to deserve it. Also, just…his name.

Thank you for providing me an opportunity to wish aloud that the word “constitutional” would always be put in quotation marks when used before “sheriff.”

I saw that and asked myself if, when one party becomes a cult of personality, ticket-splitting may follow.

It would be the opposite effect.

We should remember that Leon wanted to get out of buying Twitter, and was kinda forced into it by the stupidest corp board ever: those of Twitter itself.

Those stupid assholes deserves a truckload of rotting fish heads sent to their homes.

I don’t remember all the details, but didn’t the deal go sour at the last minute? A jump in stock valuation or something where he wanted to back out?

At any rate, I’m sure there’s a link to “Project X” that he was talking about before making the offer. He made a typical billionaire move, a shortcut in buying the user base and then warping the platform to what he wanted, instead of building something from scratch.
