Hackers Publish Over 450,000 Leaked Yahoo Passwords | Talking Points Memo

Some 453,491 account passwords and accompanying email addresses, allegedly hacked from a Yahoo service, were published online late Wednesday by a group of apparent hackers known as d33ds company, CNET reported. The passwords appear to have been obtained from Yahoo Voices, a Yahoo freelancer content farm that was formerly known as Associated Content, although there is some confusion as to whether or not it was Yahoo Voice, an online VOIP service, that was affected. Yahoo confirmed to the BBC early Thursday that it was investigating the breach. The website upon which the passwords were posted was knocked offline early Thursday morning as well.
