A grad student in the lab where I worked would have Rush on his radio. After some weeks of us hearing Rush we had a meeting with this guy. We asked that if he wanted to listen to Rush would he please use some sort of a head set so we don’t hafta hear this every day and get pissed off. He agreed as was quite civil about it. Then again this was 20 years ago and no one had tfg on their horizon just yet.

Let’s face it. Conservatives are not capable of being funny because they are so NOT self-aware. It is much easier to laugh AT them than WITH them as a result. Trump, in particular, has NO sense of humor in the conventional sense. He enjoys masochism, but that doesn’t count as humor. Kinda like Adolf H.
I am so glad that Christina watched this for us, because I wouldn’t have the stomach to watch more than a few minutes of this schlock.

In the late 80’s, early 90’s I had a secretary at the time who was of Caribbean background and would have Limbaugh on within earshot. He would muse about “femanazis” and engage in his usual race baiting. She would tut tut about it, shake her head in disapproval but still have him on every day because she said she saw some value in listening to him.

Actually Rush picked out the spot himself. I was told about the whys and where directly from the Bellefontiane Cemetery Sales Manager. My sister and I were there this summer looking for the grave sites of our relatives, on my mothers side.

Honest question: do Fox’s ratings ever dip? Is anyone watching their programming or are there millions of TVs that are on 24/7 and tuned to Fox? Or does the TV need to be on? Perhaps it’s a cable box that never shuts off?
I haven’t even slipped into my tinfoil hat yet - considering these are the same people that buy millions of copies of their own books, how are they gaming the system? armies of headless cable boxes stashed away to keep those numbers up?

This. It was corny as hell, the actors knew it and intended it, and worked very hard to make it as cornball as possible. I mean, that was the whole premise of the show.
