Gun-Swinging St. Louis Couple Receive Pardon From MO Guv.

Once again. The party of personal responsibility is never responsible for anything they’ve done. Being an asshole and criminal is now a badge of honor in the Republican party. Just ask that pedo Matt Gaetz.

Gov. Parsons was an elected sheriff before running for the state legislature. Not sure if this is why he’s dragging his feat on getting Strickland out of prison, but I can’t think of any other reason for getting an innocent man out of jail.

WTF, they were only charged with misdemeanor assault and misdemeanor harassment? Unlawful use of weapons is a felony in MO, why weren’t they properly charged to begin with? Section 4 of the applicable statute seems to describe their crimes to a tee:

“Exhibits, in the presence of one or more persons, any weapon readily capable of lethal use in an angry or threatening manner.”

I remember reading about this guy and girl he impregnated earlier. Yeah this story is more than he got her pregnant. And I believe they moved to FL where he really became a Florida Man.

"There are laws, but no justice!" Scandalous!

This action only emboldens other goons!

There is really something wrong with Mark’s brain. He’s sued family, neighbors, went after the Jewish Temple and school which borders his property, but has been there much longer than him.
I can’t figure this loon out. His actions in the past and now present don’t advance his standing, career, or anything else in society. I believe I read that Al Watkins (QAnon Shaman’s lawyer) has had runs in with the McCloskeys, and yet has also worked with them.

Governor Parson’s is basically engaging in executive version of jury nullification. The McCloskey’s clearly broke the law and show no remorse, but Parson’s apparently thinks the law is wrong (at least as applied to these rich, white people).

Its clearly an abuse of power by the MO Governor, but the people with the power to hold Parson’s accountable (the Republican legislature) are unlikely to do so.

How about disbarment? The guv can’t pardon that.

Unlawful use of whiteness always softens any other unlawfulness in MO. That person who acted lawfully re Ashli Babbit, though, need to find and lynch that one.

No and no. As noted right there in the story, they pleaded guilty only to misdemeanors.

Wonder if these assholes broke any federal laws and whether they got a pardon from the Orange Goon.

are small potatoes and so is their governor. The bigger picture is the tribal normalization of criminality, a normalization that will continue and expand under Republican minority rule unless stronger federal voting rights and redistricting reforms are enacted now.

The Judge should have made him count out the dimes two or three times, just to be sure.

He moved to Florida where they got married (she was 15, he was 19). She killed herself at 18.
And earlier this year, Florida Man Matt Gaetz travelled to WY to endorse this guy.

Actually Mark and Patricia are equal opportunity assholes. They’ve donated to Dem causes in the past. They’re more Trumpy in their politics.

Matt’s jealous that his little fling didn’t kill herself before spilling the beans to the popo.
