Lotta cowboys…where is Abbott’s headgear??
One gent midway on the right appears to be sound asleep with chin on chest.
It’s like a wide brim hat competition.

If I squint I can see Mel Brooks at the head of the table-- in a scene from Blazing Saddles.

The FBI has been investigating him for in-office corruption involving a local developer. Paxton also got his extramarital girlfriend a job with the same developer.

VMOT: Why do Texans, who are punctilious about sir and madam, think it’s OK to wear hats indoors? Filthy felt or pristine plastic, calling it a cowboy hat does not make it an exception to rules of etiquette or common courtesy. Not to mention clowns wearing gimme caps.

I’m trying to find a quote from either Molly Ivins or Anne Richards (both of blessed memory) about cowboys who kept their hats on indoors and it had something to do with their mothers. Anyone know it?

A certain studied brutishness like the white, suburban kids up north with their asses hanging out their jeans?

I can’t find the one you’re thinking of, so I’ll give you this one instead:

" I learned two things growing up in Texas.
1: God loves you, and you’re going to burn in hell forever.
2: Sex is the dirtiest and most dangerous thing you can possibly do, so save it for someone you love."

I don’t think they think about it. Or anything else.

Nah, actually, this appears to be nearly universal behavior here. It appears unrelated to the degree of otherwise jerkish behavior.
