Part of me wants the Democrats to refuse to seat her in January. Which they can do.

Another part wants her to be a millstone around the necks of the Republicans.

”Ausdal was a significant underdog who positioned himself as a voice of reason next to Greene…”

An inanimate object would be a “voice of reason” next to Greene.

Do we miss Michelle Bachmann yet?

Or did her opponent mysteriously disappear…leaving behind the likeness of a “Q” in the dust on his kitchen table?!

AFAIK Bachman (R-crazypants) never incited violence against her fellow congresscritters.

She and Marcus are now full-time counselors at Mike Pence’s conversion-therapy summer camp.

(Although they bunk in separate cabins.)

My exact first thought too. Seriously.

If the Dems don’t seat her, but she’s still the elected Congressperson from the GA-14th, then wouldn’t that still be a millstone around the necks of the GOP of GA, the Republican caucus in the House, and then RNC?

I don’t think so. There is a legal precedent, that while the House is the sole judge of the qualifications to be seated, those qualifications are defined in the constitution and may be altered only through amendment. So it appears we are left with the two-thirds vote rule to expel a member. The House could also, with the GOP’s cooperation, vote to deny or strip her of committee seats, as was done with Steve King.

I’ll predict forcing the GOP to vote on expelling her, followed by a censure, and assignment to the basement office that always floods each spring.

Poor woman is afraid of black people, black people who are transgendered, and is confused on the political ideology of Marxism and communism. So to sum up Michelle B. is just confused.

Yeah I didn’t think that the party in control could refuse to seat a member of the minority party, if that were so there would of been a lot of that going on before this.
So McCarthy has to grow a spine and figure out which way the wind blows on committee assignments. Which leads me to ask can McCarthy just not assign her to a committee?

But can she spell?

In a sane country, Democrats would be able to run a bivalve mollusk against this nutcase and win. They better throw somebody in.

In a response to his post, Van Ausdal said that his team “believes” there’s still time for someone else to take his place.
