Greece Parties Agree On Coalition Government | Talking Points Memo

Following his party’s narrow victory on Sunday, Antonis Samaras of the New Democracy party has created a coalition government, which includes the Pasok Socialists and the Democratic Left, BBC News reports. Samaras was sworn in as prime minister on Wednesday. “Greece has a government,” Pasok leader Evangelos Venizelos announced. “New Democracy, Pasok and Democratic Left have taken on the burden of responsibility to re-negotiate the bailout agreement and [the job] of exiting Greece from the crisis,” he said.
