Graham Warns Of ‘Trifecta From Hell’ If Dems Win Georgia Runoffs | Talking Points Memo

One can only hope.

Sometimes it’s more reasonable to not point out the obvious.

The problem, as others have noted here and elsewhere, over 70 million people were more than happy with the chaos. And they’d vote for it again tomorrow. And will do all they can to obstruct, ignore and light fire on anything that Biden does.

Welcome to the new America.

Historically, the Democratic Party, when in power, is far better at trying to solve problems that affect everyone, than the Republicans. While Democratic efforts dealing with major policy programs have occasionally (and this is where the “branding” efforts of the Republicans come in as they simply make stuff up and lie to their public base that appear incapable of thinking or reasoning for themselves) led to a less successful reality than initially hoped (again, frequently because of these programs being undermined by the Republicans), it is portrayed by the Republicans has wasting money (an easy sell when you lie to people unable to understand who developed many of the safety net programs they depend on).

On the other hand, Republican policies over the past 50-60 years simply hurt people. But the Republicans can sell it to people and continue do so.

Over the past 100 years, if you look at the years of highest growth in the US GDP, it’s when Democrats control the Legislative branch of the government along with the Administrative branch. They just get stuff done that is lasting and that helps the average citizen. [Disclamer: Please don’t ask Senator-elect Tommy Tumerville of Alabama about this - he’s still trying to read up on the matter.]

Senator Graham is a master of deception, and has lived through the decay that is now the Republican Party. One can successfully argue that he is a major reason for the decay - no principles, no ethics, and doesn’t care a bit about helping people overcome systemic problems facing them in this country. Just “helping” those elites in the top 1% and to maintain the “social order” in the South.

Surely Biden’s new DOJ can find out why Miss Lindsey is nuts? Someone is blackmailing him.

Well USA Today has already given GA to the two pubbies, so why is Graham railing?

Perhaps Lindsey knows something?

How nice. He’s back to begging for cash on Fox. Someone should fact check him on giving 1 million to Perdue and Loeffler. For someone constantly poor-mouthing his campaigns he sure seems to feel free to throw other peoples’ money around.

Trifecta from Hell. Laptop from Hell. And Lindsey–simply and truly, From Hell.

Yeah lost cause Lindsey. Here’s a trifecta for you. Securing health care, tackling the climate crisis and a infrastructure bill.

Hell? Gee, I can’t imagine what hell would be like. I wonder if it would feature a vile, selfish cult leader trying to destroy democracy with the help of nasty grubby little imps. Ringing any bells?

Oh, just shut up, you rabid little chipmunk.

… if there was a credible concern that a sitting United States Senator was being BLACKMAILED - wouldn’t the DOJ & FBI be entirely obligated to exhaustively investigate it ?

My dad used to say, “if you want to live like a Republican, vote Democrat.”

Something (nothing) does not add up. Why is this buffoon obsessed about a state he does not represent (aside from the fact he doesn’t represent his own)?

Bernie Sanders? Sounds like Graham is trying to channel Lee Atwater’s Southern Strategy…rather than race, Graham’s is trying to churn up the fear of Socialism/Communism and every other ISM.

Yeah, there was an article yesterday in Times that said many Republicans who voted against Trump are “afraid” of a Dem Senate and buying the bullshit naturally.

I don’t think this is news anywhere else.

My 2024 G.O.P. Presidential Primary Superfecta is Trump, Cruz, Cotton, and Graham.

Donating money to either side is a waste if it’s just going to buy stupid ads and feather the next of the political consultants.

The Dem ads simply need to point out how these 2 Repubs will vote to take away your health care. That worked in 2018 to take the house and it will win here.

As usual, nobody seems to notice that neither Perdue or Loeffler’s campaigns are even bothering to offer ideas for making life better for Georgians or America. Instead, they are ducking debates and spending millions on social media claiming that their opponents are the antiChrist and ready to devour babies whole in the basements of abandoned Walmart stores.

I hope Warnock and Ossoff will continually point out that their opponents are all boogey men and no substantive policies other than those that line their own pockets and those of GOP grifters.

The bitch sounds scared.

Absolutely correct. Also, another, though less important, but still huge issue: a republican senate will block all meaningful stimulus that would actually help ordinary people. The pandemic-caused recession is happening, despite the record high stock markets. To try to help, the Fed will keep doing what it has been doing for a decade now (to simplify, print more money), which will only increase the already ridiculously high wealth inequality in this country.
