“I think it hurts his cause and, quite frankly, it hurts the Republican Party,” Graham said.
Earlier in the interview, Graham also stood by his previous remarks of arguing that the GOP “can’t grow without” Trump.
“If he wants to be the Republican nominee for the Republican Party, it’s his for the taking,” Graham said.

No, Lindsey, if it requires that he stops fixating on 2020 then he has no chance to come back, because that fixation is an ironclad requirement of his outrageously severe personality disorder. He must not lose, he must never lose, he can never have been the cause of his losing, and he will never forget it or learn to live with it. It was a satanic miracle that he won once. He will not win again, in very small part because you’re deliberately trying to prevent it. You’re helping to box him out of it. And we know this is a coordinated strategy because everything you people do always is.
