Governors across the nation tore into President Trump’s assertion that the federal government is a “backup” for states’ procurement of needed medical supplies amid surging COVID-19 cases, during Sunday morning interviews.
Thank you, governors. We know that for the sake of your residents you can’t say everything you might, but we hear you clearly, especially when you speak for those who died unnecessarily and those who will. The cowards who let this happen will pay.
“The great enemy of truth is very often not the lie–deliberate, contrived and dishonest–but the myth–persistent, persuasive and unrealistic. Too often we hold fast to the cliches of our forebears. We subject all facts to a prefabricated set of interpretations. We enjoy the comfort of opinion without the discomfort of thought." – John F. Kennedy, Commencement Address at Yale University, June 11,1962
From reading each governor comments, I ask you to predict which state will get more aid and ventilators. Just guess.
This is all beyond comprehension and I think we have ourselves to blame for letting this horrible alien get away with 3+ years of crap and now this. This is the worst time most of us have ever seen. We weren’t here for Pearl Harbor or the Great Depression and this is the same as those huge devastating events.
If there was ever a time for a revolution in this country, it’s now, but I know it won’t happen. We are at our wits end with this corrupt idiot that’s killing people, yet we just plod along waiting for the election, waiting for something to change or for him to die in office. Wonder if none of this comes to fruition, then what? We wait.
“To say ‘we’re a backup’ — I mean, the Surgeon General alluded to Pearl Harbor. Can you imagine if Franklin Delano Roosevelt said: ‘I’ll be right behind you, Connecticut. Good luck building those battleships…”
Gov Jay Inslee captures the Trump do-nothing-but-grift maladministration in a nutshell.
Rather than provide the leadership of a war time President, he continues to blame everyone else for his own inertia. He played golf and had rallies while ignoring the briefings and peril about to be unleashed on our country. He is weak and his enablers know it. He needs to be gone.
If you or I had done what Trump has done and continues to do, we could be charged with depraved indifference or depraved heart, causing death. It is a crime in most states.
Which Governor or Governors will have their Attorney General bring charges against Trump?
Yes. That’s how he’s treated his whole presidency. And republicans sat in the audience and clapped half-heatedly or not at all, unless a mic was shoved in their faces.
We need more shoving of mics. Get these enablers on record.
Gov. Hutchinson should call his Senator Tom Cotton to see if Cottonwould fellate trump enough to get him a few extra ventilators. Oh, and next time Asa don’t listen to the Orange Obscenity and shut your damn state down already.
