Speaking of newbie foreigners I heard a bit on NPR which started out with Kevin Warsh to lead the Federal Reserve, and the pronuncation of warsh for wash. Here in StL we some of the old timers pronounce wash as warsh. I was told it came from the German immigrants, NPR said Scotch/Irish. I have Scotch/Irish and German ancestors.
