Good lord, do they all have worms in their brains?
Does the proposed legislation include space aliens as well?
Or, put another way…. ‘Facts?! We don’t need no stinking’ facts. We gots our intuition.’
So the 2024 goober election loss whining begins…
I need ear plugs
I guess I hafta take up @tena 's banner and continue to ask…
Republicans must be really worried about the next election. They are already claiming it was stolen from them.
They are searching for the horse before it ever left the barn.
For the goobers “facts” do not exist. Evidence based reality is called “fake news”.
“The SAVE Act (Stop Animals Voting Erroneously) will safeguard our elections from being influenced by illegal Sasquatch and other non-human votes.”
Speaking as a Catholic, I can safely say it is myself to blame. Guilt is the fundamental Catholic tool of social organization.
Perhaps it’s better they think they get a lot a lot of votes, but the Democrats cheat.
Then they put their effort into documenting non-existent cheating, rather than adjusting their message.
80…and most did not vote. 80 and our elections average 150 million for presidential and about half that for mid term. The math says 10’s of millions of votes over the last 20 years. No one is concerned about 80. It’s what can be made of it by not mentioning 80 and portraying it as much more.
How are they going to fund enforcement of this law?
Tax increases or tax cuts?
I can’t figure out what this bill adds that isn’t already the law - maybe this “we’re going to give the states the mechanism to prove this”?
I guess instead of being outraged at the Republicans pushing an unnecessary piece of legislation, I’d consider calling their bluff and passing it (as long as there’s nothing awful in it), and once states have this magical mechanism, reporting that, in fact, non-citizen voting continues to be a non-issue.
But there’s not a lot of detail about what it would actually do that I can find.
We’d have to see the details of the bill, but I expect it to include additional, unnecessary steps or requirements that will get legal citizens booted from the voter rolls for minor issues. For example, if your registered name doesn’t match your birth certificate or naturalization documents, maybe because you changed your name when you married, that could be enough to prevent someone from registering unless they jump through additional hoops.
Adding any additional procedural burdens for registering and voting to solve what is basically a non-issue will lead to voter suppression.
During Wednesday’s press briefing, former Trump adviser and known election denier Cleta Mitchell, without any evidence, implied that noncitizens have already been hard at work devising a plan to disrupt November’s election.
Here’s some evidence for you:
Yes, it’s an outrage that the Repubs are specifically NOT including a ban on space aliens. Why are they continuing to allow if not encourage this travesty of justice?

“The SAVE Act (Stop Animals Voting Erroneously) will safeguard our elections from being influenced by illegal Sasquatch and other non-human votes.”
You jest, but ‘prove to us you are a valid human’ is basically the history of voter suppression in this country.
It’s a fictitious argument, not imaginary. This has ricocheted around conservative media months. Red this so you know how to counter their lies.
With three months remaining in the presidential primary season, social media users are misrepresenting government data to suggest that the country is seeing a surge in voter registrations by migrants who came to the U.S. illegally.
For me, it was the witches. I was not high enough in the hierarchy for Satan to take a personal interest.
That’s nice, Chip Roy found a brand new way to be stupid and useless. He is apparently trying to outdo goemert and his asparagus that was disparaged.
I would presume that if the so-called Heritage Foundation is compiling the data, the data are suspect.
