GOPers Crack Down On The Private Election Grants That Helped Avoid A Pandemic Fiasco | Talking Points Memo

I have a question - This group has named itself the “Amistad Project”. Do they have a charter or something where we can see which side they were on with the Amistad?

Don’t forget NH.

TPM needs revenue to survive! We all have to contribute financially if these sites are going to continue, maybe you don’t put anything in here but unless you’re contributing somewhere, you’re a drain financially cos even the comment section costs money to maintain.

Honestly I’m all for it. Comment sections are generally trash and TPM mostly does a better job. I’ll pay so they can hire a copy editor. I’d pay them more if they got rid of Judis and his absolutely terrible takes on everything.

BTW, paying members have a whole thread dedicated to dunking on Judis and it soars up to the top every time there is a new trash editorial by him.

So let me get this straight. The GOP is fine with corporations and wealthy moguls pouring money into their partisan campaigns, but they are now apoplectic that non-partisan foundations are donating money to assist cash-strapped election offices manage fair and smooth election balloting during an international pandemic.

The Rethuiglicants are absolutely shameless!

Small thing but . . . Capital Research Center seems to be run by Scott Walter, not Scott Walker. At a glance, it looks like, yes, Capital Research Center has included some Walker content but Scott Walter is the current president and Scott Walker doesn’t show up in the staff, board, fellows, or advisory board.

That alone is worth the cost of a sub.
