I hear she is currently debating whether to raise one eyebrow or both to indicate her level of concern.

“The only unknown would be if this is so grave and serious that it rises to the level of impeachment,” Rooney told CNN host Poppy Harlow.

The announcement of the new federal building project being sited in Naples, to be built by Manhattan Construction Group, will follow soon Rooney’s announcement he will vote against impeachment.

It looks like the Democrats are set to gain another 6-8 seats in the House, so it won’t be fun place for Republicans (and you have McCarthy still making the purely partisan requirement of his members that they defend Trump).

Eh, no surprise. It’s well understood that you can’t look out for the national interest and defend the Constitution if you’re a Republican. This guy wanted to do the former, and realized that he needed to give up the latter.

Post-Kavanaugh, she was already a dead woman walking, but no matter how she votes in an impeachment trial it only pisses off more people. She saves Trump and the Democrats are hyper-mobilized, she votes for his ouster and she’s got the entire GOP on her.

If the Rethugs can’t at this point see the the criminal in the WH needs to be impeached and out of office what could possibly convince them? They are just a bunch of lily livered nincompoops.

That’s how these things go. You live with the cognitive dissonance and the cowardice and your stomach churns and you can’t sleep and you think it’s only you. Then you have lunch with friends who talk about their stomachs and their sleep and you realize it’s not just you at all. The pressure increases geometrically and kablooey.

Any time you have something like pressure increasing geometrically, it’s more of an engineering term than a political term.

Rooney’s district is R+13 and Collins hasn’t made a decision yet.

Another stand up Republican speaking truth to power while backing out the door gracefully, bowing deep with every fumbling step. What a crowd!
