Rep. Lee Zeldin (R-NY) repeatedly pushed back on Politico reporters on Thursday when they asked whether he could unequivocally state that President Biden won the 2020 election.
Someone should contact Zeldin’s office and report the concern that he is exhibiting symptoms of someone who has suffered a recent head injury. He is unable to answer simple questions, and doesn’t know who the current president is.
““If you would like to give my answer for me, you can go ahead and do that.”
OK. “Hi, I’m Lee Zeldin and the most intelligent thing I’ve done in the past 12 years is stuff Sourpatch Kids up my nose because the sting gives me fond memories of my cocaine days and I like to eat my rainbow boogers afterwards. I haven’t gotten a proper boner since I was 23 without a woman impersonating Ronald Reagan first telling me I’m destined to be President and then commanding me to “tear down this bra.””
It’s really not hard to say that the result of the counting of the votes is clear and Biden won the election…the fact that Republican politicians, who definitely know that is the case, refuse to make such a simple statement says a lot about their base and its conspiracy beliefs, as well as their craven attempt to keep that crazy base happy. The fact that the same base that refuses to admit Biden won is also full of white supremacists and generally awful people doesn’t appear to concern them…that’s really dangerous for the nation. If a major party is following the direction of our worst citizens, and if they win power again, then the nation truly will be a danger to the world.
I just hope, for his sake, that no one asks him about the ODNI concluding that Russia interfered in the 2020 elections on Trump’s behalf, and Republicans such as Senator Johnson, Congressman Nunes, Radcliffe, Barr, Guliani, and others, perhaps even Zeldin, willingly spread their propaganda.
Zeldin can’t say it outload that Biden won, because then Trump will find someone to run against him in the primary.
Soooo if every current Republican said it, said it outload than how many Republican primary candidates would Trump have to muster to challenge the incumbents, 211 or so, plus then challengers to challenge 219+ Dem seats? That’s a lot of people to round up and a lot $$$ Trump has no intention of shelling out.
The RWNJ flow chart for responses is extremely limited. All responses about intelligence reports flow to “deep state” while all responses about reporting flow to “fake news”. Of course, a heaping serving of word salad and/or outright BS are also possible responses.
Give the flat-earther some room. After all, you can’t prove the earth is round. Can you? He must not have received the new talking points and is playing it safe.
It’s like those spam callers who try to gotcha-record you saying “yes” to a simple question so they can re-use it as your OK to make a bunch of charges or somesuch.
(So don’t say yes when they ask “Can you hear me?”, say “I can hear you”).
I’m unsure of what happened here. Did Zeldin say the Joe Biden won the election? That’s a yes or no question. It’s a different question than “Is Joe Biden President?”. We know Biden is President, murderous insurrection withstood. But did Zeldin slip away from the question intentionally?
Is so, Zeldin needs to be put on the crucible by the press.
They’re a danger to this country right now. Zeldin’s declaring two things he believes with this weaselly line of behavior:
Biden’s not President due to any legitimate political or democratic process.
Therefore, it’s perfectly fair for Republicans to use any means, including terrorism and murder, to put their guy in the White House and his presence will be just as legit as Biden (and they don’t need to “wait four years” until some “election” to do so, either).
