Thanks for the history lesson, then.

It pisses us Montanans off when we see Lousy Annas wearing cowboy hats.
Just sayin’

Speaking of which. And this Pastor learned nothing from the tragic loss of both of his parents.

Faith over fear is so stooooooooooooooopid. I heard the Lord Helped Those Who Helped Themselves

Especially because fear is a primary tactic utilized by organized religion to keep parishioners in line and donating freely to church coffers. Eternal damnation or eternal salvation. The carrot and the stick.

God must have really hated his parents.

Well, they didn’t learn germ theory from the Bible, that’s for sure.

Tio of mine, when you’re right, you’re right. The Gooper is getting fine, affordable healthcare thanks to us taxpayers even though he lived recklessly thinking the R after his name would act like a magical elixir.

He probably walked around without a mask, without social distancing, without washing his hands multiple times a day and so yeah, he deserves it. He’ll have fine health care and he can thank taxpayers for that, some of whom can’t afford their own treatment for COVID

As much as I like carolers, they’d not be welcome at my door, but would hear the following message over our outdoor loudspeaker:

“Thank you for removing your unmasked selves from our property. We are doing our best to avoid the disease you likely carry. If you do not leave shortly, you will either be escorted by the police or you will see my loaded shotgun. Go now, and peace be with you!”

My neighbors are not so stupid as to either start caroling through the neighborhood or welcome carolers.

Remdesivir is crap and the fact that it’s still being given when the active form of vitamin D is actually waaay more effective, is a f*&^%ing crime

Well, if the carolers all showed up wearing full hazmat gear, then I’d be willing to watch, listen and laugh. By the way, full hazmat gear requires isolation to the point where the only sound you could hear from them would be electronically provided through their own portable speaker systems.

What if they came upon a midnight clear?

I disagree, as others have, primarily on the basis of “reap the whirlwind”.

Same with climate science - the deniers, especially the ones in power, deserve to experience the negative effects to the fullest extent possible, while the people working their asses off to solve the problem (and people who vote accordingly) deserve to be spared.

Life doesn’t often give people what they deserve - the whirlwind tends to go off and destroy some other person’s house. So every time a COVID denier or supporter of COVID-denier policies gets the very disease they think is no big deal, I’m nodding my head in approval at the universe. I include the MAGA idiots in my own family who got COVID in that. I’m glad they survived; maybe it will nudge them towards reality a bit. But they sure deserved what they got, IMO. Definitely better they get it than some poor grocery clerk trying to deal with a maskless moron.

Could have told them that but who listens? They still talk about it and write about it like the only reason for younger people to be careful is so they don’t infect older people but that’s stupid. Younger people are having bad results and dying.
