I haven’t yet seen reporting that the J6C has received “the missing texts” but has received some SS text messages that they did not have previously. Am thinking folks may be being optimistic and/or confused on what was actually received.

The assholes who spew Big Lie stuff in the open are bad enough. Even if they don’t actually believe it—I don’t think all of them do—they’re still taking a sledgehammer to democracy solely to appease the base. But the SOBs who are quiet in public while trying to subvert democracy from the shadows? These are definitely true believers and are the most dangerous. God dammit.
Meanwhile, the cognitive dissonance of Charlie Kirk being anti-choice while being mad at anti-choice legislation sure is something! Imagine being such a coward that you’re simultaneously proud and afraid of your beliefs.

I had a cat (Jezebel) who loved to eat the post-mash grains when I brewed beer. Yum-yum! And my Newfie daughter now LOVES kimchi! She drools lakes and rivers while my wife slices that cabbage and gets it ready to ferment.

DeSantis used government funds for his political stunt even though these people had never set foot in Florida. According to reports, at least some of them were tricked into taking the flights.
NPR was able to interview three of the migrants late Wednesday. “They (the migrants) told us they had recently crossed the border in Texas and were staying at a shelter in San Antonio,” NPR’s Joel Rose said on today’s Morning Edition .
The migrants said a woman they identified as “Perla” approached them outside the shelter and lured them into boarding the plane, saying they would be flown to Boston where they could get expedited work papers. She provided them with food. The migrants said Perla was still trying to recruit more passengers just hours before their flight.

When my dad was growing up in the Depression, his dad was a subsistence farmer. Cows for milk, pigs for meat, and grow everything else that they could. Grew large crops of watermelons for feeding the pigs.
He said he and his siblings would cut open the melon, scoop the heart for themselves and toss the rest to the pigs.
