Trump has privately said that he thinks QAnon memes are funny and that “it’s hilarious” to make the media “so mad” whenever he gives a shout-out to QAnon,
Imagine living such a pointless, joyless existence that you traffic in dangerous conspiracy theories in order to make somebody mad. He’s such a piece of shit.
“Minnesota nice” was always a myth. It’s always been more like “Minnesota passive-aggressive.” Exposing that seething hypocrisy was at the heart of the movie “Fargo,” and is the reason everyone in Minnesota hates that movie. It showed them for who they really are.
A practical politician (and what’s more, a Democrat who was reelected in West Virginia, where Trump won by 40+ points twice) simply cannot be as dumb as Manchin appears to be.
Or can he?
I heard him reacting this morning on an NPR news clip, with a voice of whiny incredulity.
It’s also notable that if there’s one thing Republicans have favored since forever, it’s fossil fuel projects that bypass regulations on safety, environment, etc.
But not this time. Republicans HAVE no policies now, beyond obstruction, revenge, owning the libs, and performative cruelty.
If the Dems win the 2024 Prez race they’ll be litigating at least two dozen lawsuits in multiple states, fighting with Governors, AGs, SecStates and election officers to get their winner certified. Various Federal courts and SCOTUS will have to intervene to get the victor decided. It may be so bad the January 20th inauguration is delayed.
I’m just gonna go ahead and say it; these people ate nucking futs. Just what kind of lunacy is it to continue to pretend that the President was fraudulently elected. As far as the Defeated Former President buying in to Q Anon? See my first sentence. Please make it stop.
Manchin Can’t Believe GOPers Are Acting In Bad Faith
“Something you’ve always wanted, and you get 80 percent of something, and you’re gonna let the perfect be the enemy of the good?” Manchin said.
Boehner rejected a deal with Obama that would have given the GOP nine dollars of spending cuts for each dollar of tax increase. Yes, they will reject a bill that doesn’t give them 100% of what they want.
The bottom line is, how much suffering and how much pain do you want to inflict on the American people for the time.
The Republican Reply - As much as we can.
Everybody except Manchin can see that Republicans have been bad faith negotiators for years. If he thought his previous actions demolishing Democratic legislation was buying him credibility with Republicans, then he is dumber than he looks.
And, yes, Republicans will vote against Manchin’s bill just to spite Manchin. I have little sympathy for a man who refuses to learn a lesson taught painfully and repeatedly.
