But projecting a willingness to work with I won’t say those fuckers are fuckers might just be the best messaging and the clear path to blaming those fuckers I won’t say are fuckers when things that need to happen don’t.
Mom always said “always be sincere, even when you don’t mean it”.
The way forward is to strangle the opposition to a place where they will cooperate. It’s incredibly sad to me.
… … … …
Aaaannnd then there’s the science show “Cosmos” …Niel DeGrasse Tyson asks “when would you like the future to begin?” He described a “cosmic telescope” using the bent rays of light around our sun to it’s focal point and he floored me. Get that show and watch it … “The fleeting Grace of the Habitable Zone” ..Holee crap. Right up my alley.
This is an alarming story on many levels, but what it shows is that the sitting POTUS is actively looking for ways to ignore election results, impose martial law and obliterate the rule of law. He’s conspiring against us on our dime from our Oval Office.
He is actively trying to weaponize Flynn’s call for sedition. Why military folks aren’t out there calling him (Flynn) out for treachery and demand that he be subject to an investigation and potential court martial proceedings is a mystery to me.
Trump wants to give Sidney Powell a security clearance to basically redo the Durham investigation, do some voter fraud inquiry and basically handicap and imprison half the Biden Administration. Yet, the media, the GOP let him skate. The Nat Sec establishment (this would include DOD, USIC, FBI, DOJ) have been in paralysis because they’re not equipped operationally with how to deal with a traitor POTUS. There’s no manual for it and the system seems confused as to its sense of duty: republic v head of state. Well, Trump is on his way out so it should be clearer that the Republic matters more than Trump.
What Trump is trying to do is to fuse Powell’s incoherent conspiracy theories with Flynn’s call for martial law to create a false, but sellable (on RW media) pretext to impose martial law and substitute the rule of Trump in place of the rule of law. Think Gulf of Tonkin Resolution, which LBJ used to launch the US into Vietnam (on a dubious factual basis) and Lincoln’s suspension of Habeus Corpus during the Civil War. If a court were to rule against Trump, he would simply ignore the court.
One of the things that Trump is counting on is the media and political establishment’s unwillingness to prosecute a former POTUS. What I would like to see someone from the Biden camp do is to signal to Trump that the DOJ will investigate campaign finance and election law violations and attempts to subvert or damage the standing of our elections through propaganda. Let Trump know that he’ll be prosecuted for this nonsense, ranging from the theft of campaign donations to solicitation of foreign help to undermine his opponents, to dismantling the post office to a conspiracy to violate state election laws to override the will of the voters. If we do send a clear shot, he’ll back down. The absence of any real, clear signal that there’s anything to stop him is why he continued to indulge in treason.
Wait a fucking minute here Lone Ranger. What is this shit about adding another couple of Billion with a capital B to the dotard’s vanity wall as a condition of his signature? Last I heard Biden was going to pull back funding and put that money into cyber security but now in the final moments of this covid/funding bill we see that the petulant bastard won’t sign it unless he gets two scoops. Why has this not been reported on up until now?
Shortly after that meeting, Trump’s campaign staff received a memo from the campaign legal team on Saturday instructing them to preserve all documents related to Dominion Voting Systems and Powell in anticipation of potential litigation by the company against the pro-Trump attorney.
The memo, viewed by CNN, references a letter Dominion sent to Powell this week demanding she publicly retract her accusations and instructs campaign staff not to alter, destroy or discard records that could be relevant.
And so, hopefully it begins the process of reestablishing that lying, has consequences.
